ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Teresa Peña 59, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mrs. Peña is preceded in death by her father, Ruben Garcia; mother-in-law, Flora Peña; brother- in- law, Eliel Peña.

Mrs. Peña  is survived by her husband, Jaime Peña; sons, Jaime Peña Jr., Jorge Peña; daughters, Cristina L. Peña (Marcos Mercado), Adamina (Gerardo) Zepeda; grandchildren, Divette Ramirez, Damian Ramirez, Mindy Zepeda, Gerardo Zepeda Jr. , Jorge J. Garza, Maylin Garza; mother, Maria G. Garcia; brother, Ruben Garcia Jr.; sisters, Angeles Velez, San Juanita Garcia, Veronica Guerrero; father-in-law, Emilio  Peña ; brother-in-law, Jose Emilio (Raquel) Peña , Enrique (Graciela) Peña; sister-in-law, Adamina (Roberto) Meza; and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
