ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Celia Mata 50, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Starr County Memorial Hospital in Rio Grande City, Texas.

Mrs. Mata is preceded in death by her father, Pedro G. Flores.

Mrs. Mata is survived by her husband, Alfredo Mata, Sr.; sons, Alfredo Mata, Jr., Miguel Angel Mata, Samuel Mata, Mario Alberto Mata; mother, Celia Flores; brothers and sisters, Santiago Flores, Pedro (Estela) Flores, Juan (Enid) Flores, Mariano Flores, Amada (Paul) Hurtado, Alicia Margarita Flores and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
