ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria De Jesus Rodriguez 67, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Rodriguez is preceded in death by her husband, Sotero Rodriguez; parents, Jose Concepcion and Matilde Muñoz and brothers, Sergio Muñoz and Pablo Muñoz.

Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her sons, Sotero Jr. (Edna E.) Rodriguez, Homero (Minerva Cortez) Rodriguez; daughter, Maria I. (Emilio) Garza; grandchildren, Sotero III (Marsela) Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez, Giovanni Rodriguez, Javier (Maribel) Flores, Vianey (Brian) Mendoza, Juan Manuel Garza, Francisco Moreno, Michael Moreno, Samantha Rodriguez, Isabella Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Jayleen Flores, Jose Javier Flores, III, Jadriel Flores, Brian Mendoza, Jr., Camila E. Rodriguez; brothers, Mauro  (Pancha) Muñoz, Jose C. Jr. (Carmen) Muñoz, Eden (Cristina) Muñoz; sisters, Pila (Jesus) Vela, Rosa (Lauro) Peña, Raquel (Ramon) Sanchez, Eliza (Chuy) Gallegos, Felicidad (†Jose) Araiza; sister-in-law, Mari Muñoz and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
