ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Melecia Herrera 67, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Herrera is preceded in death by his sisters, Guadalupe Moreno, Josefa Cuellar; brothers, Jose Angel Herrera, Jose B. Herrera, Abundio Herrera and a sister-in-law, Nicolasa Herrera;

Ms. Herrera is survived by her son, Israel (Cynthia) Herrera; grandchildren, Luis F. Herrera, Israel F. Herrera, Jr., Idalyz Herrera; niece, Frances (Roberto) Campos; nephew, Jose Francisco (Yahaira) Herrera; sisters, Paula (Emeterio) Puente, Teresa Herrera, Ramona Herrera; brothers, Jose Luis Herrera, Julio Herrera, Candelario (Estela) Herrera, Antonio (Sofia) Herrera; brothers-in-law, Casanio Moreno, Enrique Cuellar; sisters-in-law, Gregoria Herrera, Teresa Herrera numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
