ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria D. Diaz 95, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mrs. Diaz is preceded in death by her husband, Heriberto B. Diaz; parents, Jose Trinidad and Irene Perez; brothers, Amador (Gloria) Perez, Manuel (Francisca) Perez, Romeo (Teresa) Perez; sisters, Alicia (Reynaldo) Barrera, and Emelia (Arturo) Canales.

Mrs. Diaz is survived by her son, Heriberto B. Jr. (Gloria) Diaz; daughters, Mary Melida (†Tom) Davis, Mary Nilda (Arvid) Avery; grandchildren, Brendie J. (Gerard) Gutierrez, Britany M. (Richard) Mathews, Alexis I. Diaz, Heriberto B. III (Lili) Diaz, Jonathan A. Avery, Bethany M. (Mathew) Fair; great-grandchildren, Arianna N. Gutierrez, Katherine G. Gutierrez, Jaxon B. Diaz, Charlotte O. Diaz, Wendell T. Mathews, Thomas A. Fair, Naomi A. Fair; brother, Jose Trinidad (Araceli) Perez; sisters, Ofilia (†Porfirio) Gutierrez, Oralia (†Oscar) Vela, Ludivina (Santos) Cadena and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a rosary at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
