ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria D. Gonzalez 81, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018.


Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Gonzalez; great-granddaughter, Kayle Guerrero; parents, Jose and Jacova Longoria; brothers, Alejos (Guadalupe) Longoria, Jose (Rosa) Longoria, Antonio Longoria; sisters, Rafaela (Porfirio) Sanchez, Matilde (Trinidad) Gonzalez, Elma (Elijio) Vargas.


Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her sons, Fernando Gonzalez, Felipe Jr. (Francisca) Gonzalez, Roel I. Gonzalez; daughters, Minerva Guerrero, Maria Del Pilar (Ruben) Sanchez; grandchildren, Maria Veronica (Arturo) Lopez, Cynthia (Ruben Jr.) Pena, Maria Cecilia Sanchez, Roberto Guerrero, Alma (Enrique) Llanas, Lissa Guerrero, Maribel Gonzalez, Angela Marie Gonzalez, and by numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Delfino (Maria Teresa) Longoria, Roel I. (Linda) Longoria, Miguel (Maria) Longoria; sisters, Cecilia Vela, Jacovita Longoria and by numerous family and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 8 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed at 10:30 a.m. for a 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
