ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria C. Christner 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Christner is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Christner and a granddaughter, Miriam Contreras.

Mrs. Christner is survived by her daughter, Leyda L. Pacheco, Ludivina G. (Homero A.) Guzman, Maria E. Garza, America Garza; son, Javier A. (Nancy) Martinez; grandchildren, Joel R. Pacheco, Jr., Rochelle N. Pacheco, Myra S. (Manuel III) Garcia, Annabel (Luis) Peña, Javier Contreras, Jr., Viviana L. Salinas, Kristina (Clayton) Yantis, Ximena Martinez, Makaylah Martinez; great-grandchildren, Manuel Garcia, IV, Maya S. Garcia, Mason M. Garcia and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022 we will open at 8:00 a.m. and the funeral procession will depart at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
