ZAPATA, TEXAS—Maria A. Martinez 62, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Austin Texas.

Mrs.  Martinez is preceded in death by her, husband Sabas Hernandez; parents, Basilio and Maria Catarina Martinez; brother, Joaquin Martinez Hernandez; sister, Angela Martinez Hernandez.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her son, Sabas Hernandez Jr.; daughter, Yarisa I. Hernandez; brother, Juan Martinez Hernandez; sister, Maria S. Martinez (Pedro Pitero); brother-in-law, Teodocio Hernandez; sister-in-law, Margarita Hernandez Rafael and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, we opened at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
