ZAPATA, TEXAS---Margarita Almaguer 73, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Almaguer is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Maria Luisa Almaguer and a sister, Juanita Almaguer Ruiz.

Ms. Almaguer is survived by her daughter, Janette Almaguer (Luis Carlos Lopez); granddaughter, Abigail Lopez; brothers, Domingo Almaguer, Rodrigo (Guillermina) Almaguer, Ernesto Almaguer, Manuel (Alma) Almaguer, Juan Almaguer; sisters, Ernestina (†Gilberto) Lopez, Rosa Almaguer, Maria Luisa (†Jaime) Valadez, Santos (†Pedro) Torres and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Iglesia Union Cristiana followed by a church service at 3:30 p.m.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
