ZAPATA, TEXAS—Manuel R. Ramirez 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Ramirez is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Sylvia Navarro Ramirez; daughters, Maria Del Rosario Flores Ramirez, Evangelina Ramirez, Dora Alicia R. (Edgardo) Peña.

Mr. Ramirez is survived by his son, Manuel R. Ramirez; daughter, Esmeralda (Eder) Leal; son in law, Antonio Flores, Sergio Cavazos and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, September 4, 2026 we will open at 8:00 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
