ZAPATA, TEXAS---Luisa Lopez 89, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Mama Wicha as many called her, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the ninth child born of ten children.  She was raised at the ranch of El Capitaneno where she lived a very simple and peaceful life, together with her parents, two sisters and six brothers.  While in school, she played the violin and was part of Los Gauchos group.  Her faith and passion was praying the rosary daily.  Mama Wicha will be missed, but she has joined the love of her life and her loved ones.

Mrs. Lopez is preceded in death by her husband, Amador Lopez; sons-in-law, Jose P. Montalvo, Jr. and Santos Gallegos, Jr.; great granddaughter, baby Delissa Munoz; father, Filiberto Trevino;  mother, Luisa Cuellar Trevino; sisters, Adelina (Jose Refugio) Ramirez, Maria Concepcion (Jose Hector) Ramirez and baby Luisa Trevino; brothers, Teodoro (Ofelia) Trevino, Anselmo (Consuelo) Trevino, Antonio (Evangelina) Trevino, Filiberto (Raquel) Trevino, Leopoldo Trevino, and Jose Manuel (Emilia) Trevino.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her children, Sylvia (Jose) Medina, Amador Jr. (Rosa) Lopez, Diana (†Jose) Montalvo, Esther (†Santos) Gallegos and Luis (Adriana) Lopez: sister-in-law, Emma Trevino; grandchildren, Melissa (Jose F.) Gutierrez, Jose Daniel Jr. (Raquel) Medina, Nydia (Daniel) Munoz, Ana Luisa (Michael Garza) Munoz, Amador III (Lisset) Lopez, Adrian (Yanira) Lopez, Roberta (Hugo) Avellaneda, Jose Policarpo Jr. (Zandra) Montalvo, Andrew Joseph Montalvo, Santos III (Melissa) Gallegos, Daniella (Rene) Guerra, Luis Lopez, Jr., Ricardo R. Lopez; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters, and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
