ZAPATA, TEXAS- Luis A. Salazar "El Gordo" 34, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Doctors Hospital in Laredo Texas.

Luis, is survived by his wife Vanessa G. Salazar; sons, Luis Angel Salazar, Luis Alberto Salazar Jr.; parents, Luis C. "Chale" and Cynthia Salazar; brothers, Carlos Daniel (Nora) Salazar, Jose Luis Salazar; sisters, Ashley (Noel) Zamora, Asmidia Salazar, Melany Salazar (Jose Luis Niño), and by numerous family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with a wake at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday we will open at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
