ZAPATA, TEXAS---Leonor E. Garcia 73, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Garcia is preceded in death by her husband, Heriberto Garcia, Jr.; father, Juan Manuel Garza; mother-in-law, Josefa Solis Garcia and father-in-law, Heriberto Garcia.


Ms. Garcia is survived by her children, Leonor (Alonzo) Chapa, Heriberto, III (Claudia) Garcia, Lourdes (Cuatro) Hinkel, Juan Manuel (Linda) Garcia, Jorge Alberto (Jennifer) Garcia, Lizette Garcia; mother, Andrea M. Garza; fifteen grandchildren, two great-granddaughters; brother, Jorge (Sylvia) Garza and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were, Heriberto Garcia, III, Juan Manuel Garcia, Jorge Alberto Garcia, Alonzo Chapa, Cuatro Hinkel, Kristopher Hinkel, Esteban Chapa and Jorge Garcia, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers were Eduardo Chapa, Heriberto Garcia, IV and Juan Manuel Garcia, Jr.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
