ZAPATA, TEXAS---Leonel Chavez, Jr. 41, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.

Leonel is preceded in death by his sister, Nora Araceli Chavez.

Leonel is survived by his sons, Leonel Chavez, III, Ruben Chavez; parents, Martina H. (Humberto) Medina; brothers, Humberto Jr. (Lindsey) Medina, Elias Medina; sister, Wendy (Jesus) Martinez and by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a wake at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Sunday, April 11, 2021 we will open at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10 a.m.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
