ZAPATA, TEXAS---Lauro S. Mercado 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center.

Mr. Mercado is preceded in death by his mother, Hortencia Medina; brothers, Jose L. (Sylvia) Bello, Juan A. Mercado, Carlos D. Mercado and sister, Teresa Medina.

Mr. Mercado is survived by his bothers, Jesse (Marina) Bello, J. Daniel Mercado, Romeo I. (Claudia) Mercado; sisters, Rosalva M. (Roberto) Gonzalez, Rosalinda Medina; sister-in-law, Wendi Mercado and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Monday June 8, 2020 we opened at 8 a.m. and departed at 10 a.m. for a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
