ZAPATA, TEXAS---Juana Carmona 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Ms. Carmona is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Paulina Carmona; son, Carlos Javier Sanchez and a brother, Jose Carmona.

Ms. Carmona is survived by her daughters, Bertha Alicia (Jose Candido) Valadez, Maria Susana Sanchez, Diana Sanchez, San Juana (Jose Adolfo) Lopez; twenty-seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
