ZAPATA, TEXAS---Juan "Meme" Chapa 72, passed away on Monday, at his residence in Zapata TX.

Mr. Chapa is preceded in death by his parents Aurelio and Maria Teresa Chapa; sister Alicia Chapa.

Mr. Chapa is survived by his wife, Alma Rosa Chapa; son Manuel Octavio (Lupita) Chapa; daughters, Marla (Gerardo) Garcia; Gisela Chapa (Oscar Esquivel); grandchildren, Franco Cortina (Jose Moreno), Emmanuel Chapa, America J. Aguilar, Gerardo Garcia Jr. Sahori Chapa, Alejandro Chapa, Ethan Chapa; great grandchildren, Alexander J. Garcia, Jayden Garcia; brothers, Aurelio ( Carmen) Chapa, Eloy (Graciela) Chapa, Jose Amando (Ruth) Chapa; sisters Melida Chapa (†Walter Escalante) and Lourdes Chapa, and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday July 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. with a Chapel service at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
