ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Eloy Salinas 64, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.

Mr. Salinas is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and San Juana Salinas.

Mr. Salinas is survived by his wife, Viola Salinas; sons, Jose Eloy Jr. (Yolanda) Salinas, Cesar (Veronica) Salinas, Jose Luis (Maricela) Salinas; grandchildren, Rebecca Y. Salinas, Jose Eloy Salinas, III, Jose Daniel Salinas, Lizabella S. Salinas, Analeena A. Salinas, Luis R. Salinas, Eduardo Salinas, brother, Javier (Monica) Salinas; sister, Rosa (Antonio) Leal and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 8 a.m. with a rosary at 9 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
