ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Luis Rodriguez 77, passed away at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jean Rodriguez Dale; parents, Jose and Maria Petra Rodriguez; sister, Romelia R. Garza.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Elsa E. Rodriguez; son, Leo Rodriguez; daughters, Misty Blue Rodriguez, Vanessa Kay Rodriguez (Jose Alonso Garcia Jr.); grandchildren, Isabella Widener, Cooper Dale, Amber Tibbs, Leah Tibbs, Alexander J. Rodriguez, Elizabeth Kay Garcia; brother, Jesus (Elida) Rodriguez; sisters, Arlina (†Edelmiro) Morales, Bertha Rodriguez, Diana (Benito) Morales, Thelma (Joe) Benites  and numerous, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were  held on Thursday June 6, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home followed by full Military Honors by Zapata County Color Guard.

Committal services were held on Friday June 7, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
