ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Emilio Guzman 56, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Guzman is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Celia Guzman; parents, Macedonio and Maria Aurora Guzman; brothers, Juan Ramon Guzman, Rogelio Guzman and Calixto Guzman.

Mr. Guzman is survived by sons, Jose Emilio Guzman, Jr., Alexander Guzman, Juan Ramon Guzman; daughters, Laura Guzman, Cristina Guzman (Oscar Perez), Dulce Guzman (Juan Lozano), Karime Guzman; grandchildren, Beyda A., Briseyda A., Jesus C., Brianna A., Dayanna C., Kaylee G., Betsaida C., Kamila S., Ramon H., Karissa S., Jesus H., Oscar P., Sophia G., Kathaleya L.; brothers, Roy (Raquel) Guzman, Hector Guzman, Macedonio (Angelica) Guzman; sisters, Alicia (†Juan Jose) Pompa, Adelina (†Federico) Garza, Margarita (Jose) Uvalle, Maria (Victor) Medellin and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
