ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Luis Gomez 63, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at his residence in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Gomez is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Francisca Gomez and brothers, Horacio Gomez and Reginaldo (Maria) Gomez.

Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife, Veronica Gomez; step-son, Reynaldo Piña Jr.; step-daughter, Gloria Piña; step-grandchildren, Camila Dominguez, Fernando Dominguez, Maximiliano Dominguez; brothers, Isaias Gomez, Miguel (Maria) Gomez; sister, Graciela (Arnulfo) Mata, Rosalva (†Domingo) Banda, Dora (Manuel) Regalado, Olga Gomez, Claudia J. Gomez, Ana I. (Jose) Sauceda, Dulce Gomez, Carmela (Gerardo) Garza, Claudia (Jose) Guzman, Raquel Gomez; sister-in-law, Manuela Frayre Gomez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
