ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose M. Garcilazo 66, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Garcilazo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose M. and Maria San Juana Garcilazo and brothers, Rolando and Rodolfo Garcilazo.

Mr. Garcilazo is survived by his companion, Josefina Garcilazo; son, Jose M. Garcilazo, Jr. (Norma Camacho); daughters, Brenda I. Garcilazo (Pablo Arredondo), Stephanie Garcilazo (Raul A. Vargas); grandchildren, Alexa Garcilazo, April Garcilazo, Joseph Garcilazo, Adam Garcilazo, Juliette Garcilazo, Jason Garcilazo, Giselle Chapa, Joel Chapa, Jr., Dayanelly Arredondo, Delilah Arredondo, Raul A. Vargas, Jr., Rogelio Vargas; brothers, Ramiro (Maria Aurora) Garcilazo, Juan (†Maria) Garcilazo, Martin (Nancy) Garcilazo, Roberto (Monica) Garcilazo, Raul Garcilazo; sister, Rosa Guerra and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
