ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Antonio Rodriguez De La Garza "El Tony's" 79, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his son, Jose Mario Rodriguez; parents, Jose Mario and Alicia Rodriguez; brother, Enoc Rodriguez De La Garza and a sister, Rosa Hilda Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Maria I. Rodriguez; son, Jose Antonio (Adriana) Rodriguez Macias; daughters, Norma Leticia (Angel) Rodriguez, Leydiana Rodriguez (†Gumersindo Valadez), Maria E. Rodriguez; grandchildren, Jaime Saenz Jr., Ruby Valadez, Sylvia Saenz, Jose A. Rodriguez, Gumercindo Valadez, Marian Saenz, Jesus A. Rodriguez, Alexa Y. Rodriguez, Leslie A. Gonzalez, Brigido Gonzalez III, Yuliana Valadez, Alaiza Rodriguez, Alissa Rodriguez, Mario A. Gonzalez and by numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Joel A. (Virginia) Rodriguez, Oscar M. (†Victoria) Rodriguez; sisters, Blanca A. (†Ramon) Vasquez, Maria Eunice (†Rafael) Moreno nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, June 23, 2023 we will open at 8:00 a.m. and the funeral procession will depart at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
