ZAPATA, TEXAS---Jose Rolando "Chito" Guzman, Jr. 60, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Guzman is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Rolando and Josefina Guzman; brothers, Rogelio Guzman, Martin H. Guzman; sister, Olga A. Saldivar and brother-in-law, Omar Prezaz.

Mr. Guzman is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nidia O. Guzman; son, Jose Rolando "Jojo" Guzman, III; sisters, Mary E. Prezaz, Maria Teresa (Olivero) Rocha; in-laws, Catalina G. (†Erasmo) Gutierrez; sisters-in-law, Maria Del Refugio R. Guzman, Maria Buruato and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
