ZAPATA, TEXAS---Beloved dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, Jose Bruno Gutierrez, 103, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Falcon Lake Nursing Home in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Gutierrez is preceded in death by his father, Hermenegildo Gutierrez and mother, Simona (Ramirez) Gutierrez; wife, Virginia Alvarez Gutierrez; in-laws, Rodolfo Alvarez and Encarnacion Medina; brothers and sisters, Alejandro (Margarita) Gutierrez, Jesus (Anita) Gutierrez, Benito (Hortencia) Gutierrez, Estanislada (Primitivo) Mendoza, Martina (Juan) Reyes, Catarina (Enrique) Villarreal, Felix, Paula, Matiana (Florencio) Jasso; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ignacio Alvarez, Adolfo (Amelia) Alvarez, Zulema (Leobardo) Villarreal, Maria de la Paz (Francisco) Ramirez, Felix Alvarez and Juanita Alvarez.

Mr. Gutierrez is survived by his son, Ignacio (Maria del Rosario) Gutierrez and daughter, Alma (†Victor) Gutierrez Sermino; grandchildren, Gina M. (Mark) Gonzales, Victor G. (Tiffany) Sermino, Aaron V. (Evelyn) Sermino; Yvonne Lizette (Jeff) Corey, Dr. Veronica Ann Gutierrez (Juan) Barrera, Ignacio Gutierrez, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Victor, Nathan, Aribella, Ava Renee, Alexander Luca; Isabela, Christiana, Michael, Rosario, Antonio, Vicente and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Special thanks to Falcon Lake Nursing Home administration and all staff, Altus Hospice Laredo, TX, Roberto Villarreal, Ms. Elia Garza, Ms. Adelaida Piña, Father Noel, Father Daniel, Pastor Bill Campbell, Chaplin Alberto Brisuela Laredo, TX, Juan Mendoza Pastor of La Gloria De Dios, and friends and family near and far who always visited him, inquired and remembered him.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
