ZAPATA, TEXAS---Joel Guzman 55, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Guzman is preceded in death by his wife, Elma M. Guzman and his parents, Lorenzo Guzman and Zulema Valadez.

Mr. Guzman is survived by his son, Joel Jr. (Isabel Perez) Guzman; daughter, Sara P. Guzman; partner, Marilu Campos Lozano; brothers, Lorenzo Guzman Jr., Ruben Guzman, Refugio "Cuco" Guzman; sisters, Maria I. Guzman, Zulema I. Guzman, Sylvia I. Guzman, Rosa I. Guzman and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, May 13, 2022 we will open at 8:00 a.m. and the funeral procession will depart at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
