ZAPATA, TEXAS---Javier Rene Gutierrez 10, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Children's Driscoll Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Javier Rene is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel J. "La Culeca" Gutierrez.

Javier Rene is survived by his parents, Ramiro and Rosa Gutierrez; brothers, Ramiro Gutierrez, Jr., Jesus Daniel Gutierrez; sister, Melanie Nicole Gutierrez; paternal grandmother, Marcelina Gutierrez; maternal grandparents, Roberto and Edna Guzman and by numerous aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a wake at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A Chapel Service was held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.



Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
