ZAPATA, TEXAS---Javier G. Almaraz 54, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Almaraz is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Irene Almaraz.

Mr. Almaraz is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nora E. Almaraz, son, Francisco Javier (Kassandra) Almaraz; daughter, Ivette (David) Jones; grandchildren, Kristian Almaraz, Jaylah Almaraz, Emilio J. Almaraz, Brandon Almaraz, Katelynn Jones, Raelynn Almaraz; brothers, Ricardo (Lupita) Carrizales, Tomas (†Kena) Carrizales, Jose Almaraz; sisters, Juany Carrizales, Maria (Roberto) Barrera, Antonia Gonzalez, Rebecca Almaraz, Maria Magdalena Almaraz and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
