Jaime Jesus Rocha, lovingly known to many as "Double," passed away surrounded by those who loved him.

To those who knew him best, he was simply Double—a larger-than-life presence with a deep love for sports, music, and the people in his life. Double was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the San Antonio Spurs, the New York Yankees, and the Texas Longhorns, and he never missed a chance to represent his teams.

Double dedicated many years to working at AT&T, where his strong work ethic and reliability were well known. Outside of work, he poured his heart into coaching basketball, football, and baseball. As a coach, Double focused on more than the game—he believed in shaping character, confidence, and resilience in those he coached. Family meant everything to Double. He cared deeply for his sisters, always looking out for them and making sure they were taken care of. With his brothers, he loved joking around, sharing laughs, and enjoying the bond that only brothers shared. Through it all, his mom and dad were always his go-to for advice, guidance, and steady support. Their influence shaped who he was and the way he lived his life. Double was also a great uncle to many nieces and nephews and took special pride in staying involved in their lives. He especially treasured time with his "Four Horsemen" — JJ, Josiah, Joshua, and Jedi. Whether he was keeping up with their sports activities, going fishing, playing chess, or enjoying rock and roll, Double was always present, engaged, and proud. He also held a special place in his heart for his classmates and lifelong friends, valuing those relationships and the memories they shared. Double stayed connected, checked in often, and never forgot where he came from. Double will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Whether on the sidelines, in the stands, or simply being there when someone needed him, Double lived fully and loved deeply.

Jaime "Double" Rocha was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Narciso Rocha and Andrea Cuellar Rocha; his maternal grandparents, Jose Rolando Guzman and Josefina Rocha Guzman; and his brother, Orlando Javier Rocha.

He is survived by his sons, JJ Chavera, Joshua Lozano, Josiah Lozano, and Jedidiah (Jedi) Jay Rocha; his loving parents, Olivero and Maria Teresa Rocha; and his brothers and sisters, Marco Antonio (Imelda) Rocha, Olivero Jr. (Carmen) Rocha, Christina Marie Rocha (Johnny Gonzalez), Daniel Alberto (Melissa) Rocha, Jorge Olivero (Sara) Rocha, and Thessa Nicole Ines Rocha (Tony Diaz). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply and continue to honor his memory and legacy.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary donations be made at Rose Garden Funeral Home to assist them during this difficult time.
