ZAPATA, TEXAS—Irma G. Laurel, passed away on Tuesday April 8, 2025, at her residence in Zapata Texas.

Mrs. Laurel is preceded in death by her husband, Anselmo Laurel; parents, Asuncion and Amelia Garza.

Mrs. Laurel is survived by her children, Maria Guadalupe Garza, Bernardo Sanchez, Victor Hugo (Maria Dahlia) Sanchez, Baldemar (Ana Laura) Sanchez, Maribel (Omar) Chapa, Jorge (Josie) Sanchez; grandchildren, Karina Alvarado, Alex Alvarado, Kiara Alvarado, Kayla Alvarado, Joshua Bernardo Sanchez, Victoria A. Sanchez, Samantha A. Sanchez, Baldemar Sanchez Jr., Kassandra Sanchez, Katelyn Issabella Sanchez, Juan Omar Chapa, Orlando Chapa, Briana Chapa; greatgrandchildren Kima A. Niño, Kaeli Niño. Danika A. Luera, Natalia N. Luera, Emma Sanchez, Baldemar Sanchez III, Carlos J. Sanchez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

The family will honor the life of their beloved privately, without holding a public service or gathering.
