ZAPATA, TEXAS--- Irene Alaniz Romero 72, passed away on November, 4, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Romero is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Trinidad Alaniz; brothers, Charlie Alaniz, Miguel Alaniz and Jaime Alaniz.

Mrs. Romero is survived by her dear companion David Jackson; daughter, Yvonne (Michael Caballero) Rodriguez; sons, Gilbert Rodriguez, Randy Rodriguez; five grandchildren; great-grandson; sisters, Imelda Alaniz (Orlando Tovar), Diamantina Alaniz, Minerva Alaniz, Margarita Alaniz, Carmen (Juan) Rosa, Cristina A. Garza; brothers, Greg (Nydia) Alaniz, Jessie (Lesbia) Alaniz, Artie (Magda) Alaniz, Guillermo Alaniz and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
