Our beautiful mother has gone to be with those whom she has missed for so long and to rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Irene F. López passed into eternal life at the age of 85 on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in her hometown of Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. López is preceded in death by her husband, Efrain Alonzo López; parents Manuel M. and Hermelinda B. Flores; brothers Mauro, Mario, Lauro, Abelardo and Jacinto; in-laws, Manuel and Araceli G. López; sisters-in-law, Elva A. Gutierrez, Elda A. Gonzalez, Raquel Flores; brothers-in-law, Eustolio A. López, Edmundo A. López, Eduardo A. López, Eloy A. López, Eliseo A. López, Enrique A. López and Rubén E. Salazar.

Mrs. López is survived by her daughters, Araceli L. (Mario E.) Salinas, Melinda L. (Rosario C.) Coronado, Irma L. (Christopher O.) Marshall; sisters Irma F. Salazar, Nora Flores; brother, Salvador (Esperanza) Flores; grandchildren, Mario E. Salinas II, Manuel A. Salinas, Larissa A. Salinas, Alonzo A. Coronado, Micah O. Marshall, Joaquin J. Marshall; great granddaughter, Alisha G. Salinas; sisters-in-law, Ernestina G. Flores, Elma V. Flores, Maria Flores, Estela L. Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

The daughters of Mrs. Irene F. López, and their families, would like to thank Laredo Hospice and Falcon Lake Nursing Home for their amazing care.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Thursday, November 30, 2023 we will meet at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for a 10:00 a.m. mass.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
