ZAPATA, TEXAS---Irene M. Gonzalez 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Falcon Lake Nursing Home in Zapata, Texas.

Ms. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Gonzalez; son, Manuel R. Gonzalez; granddaughters, Melissa Gonzalez, Azenette Noriega; parents, Gregorio and Simona Martinez; brother, Juan Jose Martinez and a sister, Gregoria (Hector) Garza.

Ms. Gonzalez is survived by her sons, Roberto "Bobo" Gonzalez, Jr., Roel Gonzalez, Sr.; daughters, Martha (Roberto) Ramirez, Maricela (Luis) Noriega; grandchildren, Jennie Rebecca (Joe) Lopez, Anna Canales, Leticia Canales, Liza J. Peña, Alina I. (Russel) Borchers, Robert "Robbie" Ramirez, Diana E. Gonzalez, Gabriela I. Gonzalez, Roel Jr. (Linda Jo) Gonzalez, Naria Noriega; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brother, Alfredo (Alicia) Martinez, sister, Bertha Sylvia (Benito) Garcia and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Family would like to thank Falcon Lake Nursing Home and staff.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Saint Peter Mission in Lopeño, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Lopeño Cemetery.
