ZAPATA, TEXAS- Irene H. Bustamante 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her residence in Zapata Texas.

Mrs. Bustamante, is preceded in death by her husband Lauro Bustamante; parents Octavio and Micaela Lopez; sisters, Aminta L. Morales, Enedina L. Bustamante; granddaughter, Marlyna L. Salinas.

Mrs. Bustamante is survived by her daughters, Norma (Leopoldo) Salinas, Nora Laura Bustamante, Mireya (Sijifredo) Perez; grandchildren, Lorena Salinas, Roxana Villalon, Crystal Bustamante, Kimberly (Reyes) Limon, Lauro A. Martinez, Adriana (Jaime) Guzman, Aracely Cuellar; great-grandchildren, Arturo, Leopoldo and Carlos Muñoz, Jose Manuel and Ava Guzman, Alexander Gonzalez, Reyes and Ariana Lizvette Limon and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
