ZAPATA, TEXAS---Idolina V. "Lola" Villarreal 96, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Villarreal is preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Villarreal, Jr.; parents, Gervacio and Alejandra Vela; brothers, Francisco (Guadalupe) Vela, Gervacio Jr. (Lilia) Vela, sisters, Maria V. (Francisco) Davila and Romana V. (Jesus) Benavides.

Mrs. Villarreal is survived by her daughter, Alejandra D. (Miguel A.) Martinez; grandchildren, Miguel A. (Imelda) Martinez, Myrna (Felix) Hinojosa, Marco A. (Jacqueline) Martinez, Max Martinez (Bobbie Briones), Maria Martinez (Abel Acevedo); great-grandchildren, Jenicia Guevara (Robert Clinton Davis), Javier A. Guevara, Angela Martinez, Andrea Martinez, Felix A. Hinojosa, Michael Hinojosa, Ryan Hinojosa, Abigail Hinojosa, Marco T. Martinez, Victoria Martinez, Roman Peña, Ryan Peña, Alyssa Acevedo; great-great-grandson, Robert Clinton Davis, Jr. and by numerous other family members and friends.

The family would like to Thank Abigail Gonzalez, FNP for her compassionate care and for going above and beyond the call of duty. We are so grateful to you and your staff at Zapata Gateway Clinic. We would also like to thank Mariela Gutierrez and Jennifer Thatcher from Texas Visiting Nurse Services (TVNS); Sandra Salinas, RN from Molina Healthcare; Laredo Hospice Staff; Victorious Ambulance Service and her niece, Graciela Vela Gonzalez for always giving us a helping hand with her care. Also, thank you to her other niece, Estela Davila Solis, for cooking her meals to her liking. Mil Gracias!
