ZAPATA, TEXAS---Homero Gonzalez 69, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents Servando and Amanda Gonzalez.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 45 years, Manuela "Meli" Gonzalez; sons, Homero Jr. (Elizabeth) Gonzalez, Eric (Christina) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Ashley R. (Robert) Dietert, Anyssa G. Gonzalez, Joey Gonzalez III, Dalia Carissa Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Emma Mae Dietert; brothers, †Noe (Maria) Gonzalez, Servando (Gloria) Gonzalez, Omar (Maricela) Gonzalez; sisters, Nori (Rogelio) Rodriguez, Sylvia (†Guillermo Jr.) Ramirez, Imelda (Ramiro) Garcia and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
