ZAPATA, TX---On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Hector Almaraz, husband, father, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 55 years.

Hector will be forever remembered by his wife, the love of his life and best friend Elma (Mita), their precious children who were his pride and joy, Carlos Javier (Sandy) and Jessica (Jeremiah), by his mother Berta, whom he adored, by his sister, Cynthia Flores (Arnold) and his brother Rudy Almaraz (Kathy). Hector will be sorely missed by his grandson and the twinkle in his eye, EJ, and will also be forever remembered by his numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Hector was predeceased by his father, Rudy Almaraz.

A Private Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., at Rose Garden Funeral Home, followed by Burial on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Zapata Cemetery in Zapata, Texas.

In light of the recent worldwide occurrences dealing with the outbreak of COVID-19, the family would like to have hours of visitation and burial services reserved for immediate family. We ask that you please join us in prayer from the safety of your homes.
