ZAPATA, TX---Guadalupe A. Gutierrez, 89 passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. Lupita was a "Cursillista" and dedicated to serving the Catholic Church for over 42 years.

Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by Rodolfo F. Gutierrez; infant son Sergio Gutierrez; granddaughter Anna Celia Gutierrez Taylor and son-in-law, Fernando Gutierrez.

Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her daughters Anna Maria Gutierrez (†Fernando), Nelda N. Gutierrez (Oscar Martinez) and Maria Elena Rollins (Wesley III); grandchildren, Becky Cruz (Marvin), Adriana M. Cardenas (Alejandro),  Bobbie Gutierrez Acosta (Jonathan), Fernando Gutierrez, Jr. (Clarissa), †Anna Celia Gutierrez Taylor (David), Cynthia Y. Gloria (Ramon), George Gonzalez (Rebeca), Gabriela Orozco (Joe), Kristina Gonzalez (Bobby), Katherine R. Alvarado (Roel), Westley Rollins (Diana), Elizabeth A. Martinez (Franco) and Christopher S. Rollins (Araceli) she is also survived by 33 great-grand-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grand children.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
