ZAPATA, TEXAS—Gregoria C. Serna, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Serna is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Serna; grandson, Gustavo Gutierrez Jr.; parents, Alejandro and Petra Cisneros.

Mrs. Serna is survived by her sons, Francisco ( Rosa Linda) Serna, Patricio (Olinda) Serna; daughters, Susana Serna (Mario Torres), Petra (Ricardo) Landa; grandchildren, Osvaldo (Elsa) Gutierrez, David (Jacqueline) Gutierrez, Maria Susana Chavez, Viviana (Fabian) Montemayor, Pedro Francisco Chavez, Patricio (Odalis) Serna Jr., Abigail Serna, Ivan (Alejandra) Serna, Roselin Serna, Americo A. Vera, Francisco J. Vera, Ricky R. Landa; brother, Raymundo (Maria) Cisneros; sisters, Sara(†Indalecio) Cantu, Elia(†Armando) Arredondo, Socorro (Noe) Garza and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, August 14, 2026, we will open at 8:00 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
