ZAPATA, TEXAS—Gilberto Reyes Ortiz 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Laredo Medical Center.

Mr. Reyes is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosa Lopez de Reyes; son, Jose Gilberto Reyes Lopez; daughters, Rosa Isela Reyes, Zayda Isabela Reyes and by numerous grandchildren, family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, we will open at 1:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart at 2:00 p.m. for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Zapata County Cemetery.
