SAN YGNACIO, TEXAS---Gerardo E. "Kelly" Paredes, passed away on June 13, 2023 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Paredes is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Juliana Paredes; brothers, Gregorio Paredes Jr., Gustavo Paredes, George E. Paredes and a sister, Hilda Jasso.

Mr. Paredes is survived by wife, Maria Paredes; son, Gerardo Paredes Jr., Antonio Paredes; daughter, Rafaela Paredes; fifteen grandchildren; brother, Guadalupe Paredes; sisters, Gloria Paredes, Graciela Moncivais and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Panteon Del Pueblo in San Ygnacio, Texas.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
