ZAPATA, TEXAS- In Loving Memory of Gerald Harry Smith known by family & friends as Jerry. Resident of Zapata, Tx. since 2007, where he and his wife Deborah built their home in Siesta Shores. Members of Kings Way Church.

Born in Frederic, Wi. He grew up in a farming community- hunting- fishing, then helping his mother when his father passed away at age 11. Graduated from High School & joined the Air Force for the next four years getting his commercial pilots license. In 1960-1969 he worked for AT&T as an electronics engineer. Then in 1970 he moved his wife Barbara & two sons to Portland, Oregon working as manager for Tex Tile industry until 1980. 1980-1984 was an Division manager for Mo hawk International, working eight western states. 1985-1996 he established an Interiors Business which involved the disposal of asbestos products. In 1997 his wife Barbara passed away. Jerry kept busy in network marketing designed energy efficient products, food growth & extensive study in natural health knowledge. In 1998 he married Deborah Bingham & celebrated 28 years together. Jerry Passed away at his home on May 27th.

His Extended family includes his wife Deborah; his two sons, Paul (Leslie), Robert (Jenyfer) of Washington and Oregon; step-son Paul of Oregon; sister-in-law, Barbara of Washington; nephews, Jim (Fran), Michael (Audria); cousin, Bernand White of Minn.; grandsons, Aaron, Jake, Samuel, Carson & Eli; granddaughter Karisa who passed away in 2022, granddaughter Dani; step grandchildren, Cole, Noah, Tayah, Paul, Aiden, Grace, Channing Rosenow, Alyssa Jetton, Rileigh Rosenow.

Memorial Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
