ZAPATA, TX---Fernando Ramos, 79, of Zapata, TX passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX. He was born November 11, 1942.

He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 20 years, Arcelia Zuñiga de Ramos.

Fernando was a veteran and served in the US Army. He was a hard worker, known throughout Zapata as a kind man, liked and respected by everyone that knew him.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, had talent for composing songs and writing music, he loved to dance and play dominoes on the weekends. One of his favorite hobbies was reading and learning.  He was well known at the Zapata Library which he frequented often. He also taught himself to use a computer and search the internet.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a veteran's service at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
