ZAPATA, TEXAS—Eufemia "Mema" Zamora de Saenz 82, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Eufemia is preceded in death by her brother, Euctavio Villarreal and a sister, Julia Zamora.

Eufemia is survived by her sons, Corando (Maricela) Maldonado, Jose Armando (Esthela) Maldonado, Florencio (Patty) Maldonado, Jose Aurelio (Milagros) Maldonado; daughter, Imelda (Juan) Rodriguez; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren; brothers, Aurelio Zamora and Refugio Zamora; sisters, Ofelia Zamora and Rosa Zamora and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday, April 8, 2019, at 8 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
