ZAPATA, TEXAS- Enriqueta V. Briseño 88, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs.  Briseño is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Briseño; grand-daughters, Jessica Briseño, Crystal Briseño; parents, Adrian and Carmen Vela; brothers, Corando Vela, Alvaro Vela; sister, Celinda Guzman.

Mrs. Briseño is survived by her 7 children, Pablo Briseño (Sheyla), Martin Briseño (Hilda), Roberto Mario Briseño, Jesus Ruben Briseño (†Chriselda), Adrian Luis Briseño (Laura), Margarita Castillo (Adrian), Marisela Vallejo (Francisco); sister, Imelda V. Coronado. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished dearly. She leaves behind her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was the proud grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
