ZAPATA, TEXAS---Enrique Gavilanes 45, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Gavilanes is preceded in death by his nephew, Vicente Gonzalez, Jr.

Mr. Gavilanes is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Gavilanes; son, Enrique Gavilanes, Jr.; daughter, Sofia Gavilanes; parents, Daniel and Felicitas Gavilanes; brothers, Octavio (Virginia) Gavilanes, Roberto Gavilanes, Daniel (Bertha) Gavilanes, Francisco (Olga) Gavilanes, Martin (Griselda) Gavilanes; sisters, Esther Gavilanes, Yolanda (Gustavo) Guajardo, Gabriela (Victor) Almanza and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
