ZAPATA, TEXAS---Eloy A. Lopez 64, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel M. and Araceli G. Lopez; brothers and sisters, Efrain A. Lopez, Elva (Gerardo, Jr.) Gutierrez, Eustolio A. Lopez, Edmundo A. Lopez, Enrique A. Lopez, Baby, Eduardo A. Lopez, Baby, Ella A. Lopez; in-laws, Jose Salvador and Maria Oralia Sanchez and a brother-in-law, Jack L. Moore.

Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife, Maria Blanca S. Lopez; children, Ella Anita Lopez, Eloy Adan Lopez, Jr., Erika Angelina (Remigio, III) Guerra, Estela Araceli Lopez, Emmanuel Aureliano Lopez; grandson, Ryan Michael Guerra; brothers and sisters, Elda (Jorge) Gonzalez, Eliseo A. (Flora) Lopez, Estela A. Moore, Eduardo A. Lopez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Irene Lopez, Yolanda Lopez, Jose S. (Mary) Sanchez, Socorro (Ricardo) Contreras, Eugenio (Cindy) Sanchez, Teresita De Jesus (Rafael) Benavides; special aunt and cousins Adela G Reyes, Rebeca G Reyes, and Maria del Pilar (Francisco) de la Garza and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Eloy A. Lopez, Jr., Emmanuel A. Lopez, Remigio Guerra, III, Jose E. Ramirez, Ariel Gonzalez, Gerardo Gutierrez, III, Miguel Lopez and Ely A. Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers were Eliseo A. Lopez, Sr., Eduardo A. Lopez, Sr., Jorge Gonzalez, Ryan Michael Guerra, Jose S. Sanchez, Jr. and Eugenio Sanchez.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Thursday, January 4, 2018, we opened at 8 a.m. and the funeral procession departed at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
