ZAPATA, TEXAS--- Eloy Alaniz 72, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo Texas.

Mr. Alaniz is preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Eugenia Alaniz; brothers, Roel Alaniz, Enrique Alaniz, Juan Antonio Alaniz; sisters, Chela Alaniz and Socorro Alaniz.

Mr. Alaniz is survived by his wife, Elda Alaniz; sons, Eloy Alaniz Jr., Edgar (Lorena) Alaniz, Gary Alaniz; daughter, Gisela M. Alaniz; brothers, Sergio (Elena) Alaniz, Israel (Enedina) Alaniz, Adan Alaniz, Hector (Iliana) Alaniz; sisters, San Juana Gonzalez Alaniz, Rosa Alaniz and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, we will open at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
