Elizabeth Pearl "Libby" Copeland, born November 5, 1951, in Clifton,
Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Libby was preceded in death by her parents Charles Edward and Gladys Lorraine Copeland (Crawford), her brother Billy Charles Copeland, and her nephew Jacob Lowell Ivey.

By profession, Libby was a nurse, a career that reflected her intelligence, direct nature and steady presence.  She was known for her dry sense of humor and quick wit, traits that defined her personality and left a lasting impression on those who knew her.  She loved her dogs Daisy, Baby and Samson and found comfort and companionship in all her dogs throughout her life.

When she returned back to Zapata, Libby fell in love with plants and enjoyed "playing in the dirt".  Her friends at Lakefront Lodge, more specifically Lois Hicks, Rose Knath, Wes McNew and Barry Price watched over her, and she loved Lakefront Lodge gatherings and socials!!! Thank you so much to the Lakefront Lodge family.

She is survived by her three daughters Kimbery Renee Roberts, Shal Marie Holly and Tylyn (Caleb) Rushing; her sister Donna Copeland (Bobby) Magnon, her nephews John Charles (Kami) Copeland, Matt (Stacy) Copeland, Edward Lee (Wendy) Ivey, her niece Randi Lorraine Ivey, and her beautiful great niece Rylie Ivey who she adored; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Libby also had many great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Rose Garden Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for family and friends. With all the glory to the Lord, we know that this is not goodbye - it is see you later Libby.  You will be missed greatly.  Love your Baby Sister
