ZAPATA, TEXAS---Elena P. Garza 86, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Garza is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Serna; great-grandson, David Elias Guzman; parents, Alejo and Eloisa Pena; sisters, Belia (†George) Cooper, Hermelinda (Felipe) Martinez, Minerva Trejo.

Mrs. Garza is survived by her husband, Nicolas Lopez-Garza; sons, Raul A. (Lydia) Serna, Juan J. (Maria) Serna, Sergio E. (Alicia) Serna; daughters, Carmen (†Roberto) Garza, Maria (Antonio) Flores, Elena  G. (†Samuel Jr.) Sanchez, Sandra A. (Humberto) Ramirez; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Ismael Morales; sisters,  Frances (†Ruben) Moore, Adelfa (†Antonio) Cuellar; and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a rosary at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
